The day was cool, overcast and a little breezy but it turned out to be a perfect day to go fishing. Once again, John DeLong's picturesque pond made the perfect location for a spot of fishing.
Fourteen veterans from the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center arrived just before 10am and settled into some serious fishing. By noon, as many as 40 fish had been ashore. The vets with the largest catch were Diane (14 fish) and Robert (11 fish).
After the rods were stashed, everyone rode to the pavilion for a barbecue with music provided by Lodge Organist, John Deane. There was just enough time for a group photo before the rain started.
