The Lodge hosted its Fourth Annual Special Needs Prom on Saturday, May 30th. Thirty-four attendees, aged 16 to 60, with nineteen caregivers traveled from as far away as Schenectady to join the festivities.

The event was, once again, organized by Linda Baker with enormous support from many members of the Elks Lodge and the community.

A selection of donated suits and gowns we made available to the prom-goers. Questar III students, under the direction of Beth StClair-Bedell, made corsages. The students also made and put up wall, ceiling and table decorations for the event.

The main course of baked ziti and meatballs was prepared by Tom Miglio and Lenny Baker. Michael and Dawn-Marie Blasl donated the cake, and cookies and brownies were made by Sheri Freemantle and Jenny Maguire.

The evening's music was provided by DJ Jamie Parks of SEH Entertainment. Portrait photographs were taken by distinguished press photographer David Lee and the prints, donated by CVS in Valatie, where handed to attendees before they left.

These are just a few of the people that helped make it happen.
