On Sunday, November 6th, four new members were initiated as members of the Kinderhook Elks. The ritual was performed as part of our annual visitation and was attended by dignitaries and members of other Lodges in the North Hudson district.

The Lodge hosted a Special Needs party on Saturday, October 1st. The event was organized by Linda Baker with enormous support from many members of the Elks Lodge and the community.

On a beautiful Thursday in September The Kinderhook Elks Veteran’s committee sponsored a day of fishing for hospitalized veterans from the Stratton V. A. Hospital. This is the 5th year that this event has been held.

Kinderhook Elks hosted a Summer Luau for developmentally disabled adults in the pavilion at the side of the Lodge. It was a humid, 90-degree day but everyone had a great time.

At 7pm on Monday evening, five new members were initiated at the Kinderhook Elks Lodge.

Kinderhook Elks Lodge presented their annual Flag Day ceremony to the public on June 12th. Elks have been performing this ceremony since 1911, years before the date on which the observance became a nation-wide practice by legal decree.

The day was cool, overcast and a little breezy but it turned out to be a perfect day to go fishing. Once again, John DeLong's picturesque pond made the perfect location for a spot of fishing.

This year was the 25th anniversary of the D.A.R.E. program at Ichabod Crane. The program was started in 1991 by Bill Vick and the Kinderhook Elks Lodge.

At an Eagle Scout Award ceremony, ER Steve Race, presents Don Rothwein Jr., of Boy Scout Troop 113, with a certificate, a check, and a US flag previously flown over the capital.

The Lodge room was packed to capacity with members, their family and their friends for this year's installation of officers. The ceremony began at 3:30pm and lasted about 45 minutes.
